I just want to confirm that by disputing my accounts with the CRs or CA the removal date, or any other dates do not change. I am under the impression that you need to attach a copy of your ssn card and DL along w/ your dispute letter. Is it true?
If some lenders ask for your SSN and DL, you must provide them these documents. They may require those documents to judge your identity.
Hi Sood,
The charge off date or date of adjudication cannot be changed or extended by a dispute. If you want to extend the date, then you will have to enter into a "repayment agreement" with a creditor or the collector. As far as I know, you should never send a copy of your social security card to anyone particularly the credit bureaus.
Thanks,
Jerry
