Hi there… hope you can help me out with this!! My creditor BOA has charged off my debt account which I had with them in 2009. Now, we have noticed that we have received letters from 3 different CA's. So, now I want them to validate the debt, do I need to send the DV letter to the latest CA or to all the CAs?
Hi Vanda,
As far as I can understand, your debt account has been sold off from time to time by the collection agencies. In such a situation, I will suggest you to send the DV letter to the latest CA who is contacting you at present and try to get rid of the debts.
Take care

Hi Vanda!
Welcome to forums!
You should send the DV letter to the CA which is calling you for the debts. The previous CA may have sold off the debt account to the present CA. Apart from this, you can check out your credit report and find out who your CA is.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
