I received results back from Equifax and they verified a payment history that I disputed. Equifax says the creditor verified that the payment history is being reported correctly on my credit. However, I do have, by way of payment receipt acknowledgements from the lender, proof that the payments were on time. Should I send this back to Equifax or to the creditor?
You can send the proofs that you have to both the creditor as well as Equifax. If you do so, you will be on the safe side.
Welcome Bayer,
I agree with what Niicss has said. You should send the payment proof to both of them and then ask the credit bureaus to remove the negative listing from your credit report.
