I got victimized due to a fraud. I was told that it will remain in my credit report for 3 years. Does this 3 year start from the time I found out that there was a fraud?
As far as I know, in most states, the clock starts after the fraud is discovered or committed depending upon whichever is later.
Hi KBL,
You can check out your state laws in this regard and get to know how the time period will be calculated.
Thanks

You may seek help of your attorney in this regard in case you do not understand the time of your fraud.
