Hi dorschkimberly!
Welcome to forums!
If your credit is bad, it will be difficult for you to get a loan. You will have to improve your credit score first and then start applying for loans. Check out the given page to know about some easy ways to improve your credit score:

one of the easiest ways to begin to establish credit and thereby boost a credit score is to get a secured credit card. some credit unions and some banks offer such a product.
you'd deposit $300 or more in a bank or credit union account; the bank or credit union places a hold on that amount. you fill out a credit card application for the amount you have in the account. the bank or cu issues the card. if you never make a payment, they have their money back, taking it from your account. if you pay as you're supposed to, you will begin to build a reasonable credit record.
