How long after an item is deleted? Before it comes off your credit report and your score goes up? I have had several negative items deleted the first round of disputes and am curious! Thanks!
It will take quite some time to get the credit scores updated after the deletion of the negative accounts.
Welcome Sandry,
Normally any negative item will remain in your credit report for 7 years. Even if it gets deleted earlier, the negative affect will remain on the credit for quite some time.

In order to see any improvement in the credit score even after the deletion of the negatives, you need to have enough patience. The credit score cannot improve all of a sudden. As for the negatives, these in general stay on your credit score for 7 years. Some can even stay up to 10 years on your credit reports.
Negative items remian in your credit report for around 7 years. You can however request your lender to remove those items earlier.
If you have challenged and deleted your derogatory from your credit report, then the derogatory will not be affecting your credit any further. You would have to wait until the deletion of the account, then wait for about another month for the credit report to be updated, or you can request a credit company do a rapid rescore for you at a cost.
