A judgment has been showing on my credit report since 2006. Will it affect my chances of qualifying for a mortgage? I have a credit score of 680.
Hi Sulle,
With a credit score of 680, it will be difficult for you to qualify for a conventional loan. You may get a FHA loan. As per the new rules of FHA, you may have to give an explanation as to why you have that judgment on your credit report.
Thanks,
Jerry

The above link has NOTHING to do with your question.
Bottom line: Judgment will have to be paid.
