I don’t know what to do about a judgment that is showing up on my credit reports. The date mentioned is 2006 and the amount is $600.00. I got summoned and went to the court. We ended up seeing a mediator and also came to an agreement. I paid it and never thought about it anymore. I no longer live in the state so I am not sure what I need to do from here. Any advice would be appreciated.
Some judgments will be removed according to the seven year time limit some will not. The "filed" indicates when the judgment became valid, and that is the date from which the seven year time frame usually begins.

Hi Michellee,
You should remember here that any negative information will remain in your credit report for the next 7 years. If you have any documents related to the payment of that judgment, then you can ask the credit bureau to mention the fact that you have paid off the judgment in full and update your status. Your updated status will help you in a great way.
Thanks,
Jerry
