Hi there… Need your help. I have an account which has a single 30 day late hit on it that to from 2009. That loan closed out that same year as paid. Is there anyway to get that one late payment removed from my credit report or is it a mute point?
HI Vellum,
You can try removing the account from your credit report by negotiating with the lender/creditor. As the account has been paid off, you can send a goodwill letter to the lender in this regard and try to remove the account.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Vellum!
Welcome to forums!
I agree with what Jerry has said. Goodwill letter in the best possible option in this regard. You can find a sample letter here: "http://www.creditinfocenter.com/forms/sampleletter8.shtml"
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
