I was 30 days late on a credit card payment. I was told this will hurt my credit very bad is this true?
Hi Georgie, Yes it will hurt your credit but it will not ruin it. 1 late payment will lower your fico score by a few points but not too many. It will leave a 30 days late mark on your credit report.
Hi Georgie,
I agree with Gary Snober on this regard. A 30 day late payment will lower your credit score by few points but as any other negative item it will remain on your credit report for the next 7 years.
Thanks

If you are late by 30 days and already paid andthis has heppned very recently, you need to call the credit card compny and check to see if this was reported to the credit agency. If it is first time, may be the card company may not report.
So it it better to call them check rather than goign with guess work
Good luck and feel free to ask

Hi yes it wouldnt hurt to call and ask them to remove the late payment on your credit report. If its already been reported then you can send them a letter and explain why you were late and maybe they will remove it.
You just need to be polite, friendly when you call and little lucky
