Hi there… We have been good tenants all the time and were about to close a loan this week but due to some errors it got delayed by 3 weeks. We cannot touch the money in our savings account. So, we told our landlord that we will be living on our security deposit. He threatened to report us. Can the landlord really report us for living out on security deposit?
Hi Guest,
Yes, as far as I know, the landlord can report to the credit bureaus against you. Most importantly, he can even file for eviction.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Guest!
Welcome to the forums!
As you have been good tenants, you should get in touch with the landlord and negotiate with him so that he can understand your situation and let you live on your security deposit.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
