personal loan?

Posted on: 07th May, 2009 09:41 am
Hi there I am just wondering if anyone might know where I might be able to get a personal loan since my fico score is only 590 the middle score. I would like to pay off my debts, and just be able to focus on paying off the personal loan I don't need a lot, but I'd rather not take out a payday loan. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Melissa Obeso
melissa, by all means do not take a payday loan. there are lots of places you can seek a loan from. first, try a credit union. look around your area to see if you qualify for membership with a credit union, go establish your membership and see if they'll grant a loan. another thought is that there are small finance companies abundant - like citifinancial, for example - who might have reasonable policies for someone in your shoes.

check all that out...you won't find much help at your local bank unless you know someone or have a well-qualified co-signer; and you surely won't get anything accomplished with the big-name banks who will treat you like a stepchild.

my apologies for that last sentence...the image in my mind was that of the "Cinderella" tale. i don't mean to disparage all those who have stepchildren and whose family lives are above reproach.

Thanks, George

I'll see what I can do, but my credit score was even too low to seek help from Prosper they want your score to be 640 or better sorry not me I'm working on it. So I'll try your suggestion.

Thanks,
Melissa

Yes i agree with george please stay away from payday loans at all costs. This will just make your situation worse. Yes big banks like boa, wells fargo, chase will turn you away as soon as they hear your fico score. George has given you really good advice.

Check out this website zopa.com

This is a person to person loan program. Where any one can fund your loan and you can pay back in installments.

Your interest rates will be based on your credit and income. But i do nto think the interest rate will be higher than a payday loan.

This like eBay of loans, where people compete to give you loan in small amounts.

Hi Missy!

Welcome to forums!

It would be better if you could try improving your credit score first and then look out for loans. You can check out the given page to know about steps to improve your credit score:

Why don't you give Dan or myself a call and we can go over some ways of how we may be able to make this possible.

delia, we in this community will be much appreciative if you refrain from advertising. this is not something we wish to see in posts. your ad doesn't even make an effort to elaborate on what it is you do. it's a shameful way to advertise.
