A very old judgment is showing up on my credit report. Will this affect my chances of obtaining a home loan? My present score is 680.
Hi Nahoum,
As the judgment is showing up on your credit report, then it might negatively affect your chances of qualifying for a mortgage. Most lenders will want you to provide an explanation for that judgment and even want you to pay it off.
Thanks,
Jerry

Nahoum;
It will depend on the size of the judgment and the laws in your state. In some states, judgments expire after a certain length of time. I would be happy to take a look at your situation and pre-qualify you.
