I want to repair my credit and there are certain things which I need to dispute. I read that the CRAs have 45 days to verify on a free report whereas 30 days on one you pay for. It's been about 4 years since I even seen my reports, so I know I can order free ones, but to give myself the best odds, should I pay for my reports?
Hi Kernel!
Welcome to forums!
You have mentioned that you haven't seen your reports for 4 years. So, I will suggest you to get hold of a paid credit report and check out the negative items listed there. Then you can take required actions to get them removed from your credit report.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi Kernel,
Annualcreditreport offers free credit reports for everyone once a year. You can go to their website and get hold of your credit report and find out the negative items. You can dispute them accordingly. As far as I know, whether you have a free credit report or a paid credit report, they have 30 days time to respond to your request.
Thanks

I've never heard of that ... it's 30 days.
