Does paying the whole amount off each month help me raise my fico score?
Well paying your bills on time each month and paying down the debt will help you raise your fico score over time. Just dont keep your cc maxed out or over limit as this will hurt your score. Paying your bills on time and keeping ur entire debt to under 30% of ur entire credit over time will increase your score.
Ok thanks for the information. What is considered a good score?
No problem. In this economy a score of 740+ i would say is a good score.
Remember your score will be different accross the three credit monitoring companies. You need your avereg score for the three to be at 740.
to answer your first question - absolutely!
good scores are anybody's guess. as you can see 740 is rated good, but 720 is good and will save you money on a conventional loan compared to lower scores. this is a malleable variable, and it'll change back again over time to lowered numbers.

i most certainly didn't delete your post, geni. i have limited ability to do so, and that is only on one of the forums within this community, and it is definitely not this particular forum.
the only ones i would delete would be ones that are vulgar or something like that; or advertisements that are nothing but advertisements.
your bitterness is warranted in your eyes, not in mine. but you can post whatever you want and i won't react - just keep it clean, as you have, and nobody else will be too worked up either, surmise.
i don't know what it was that was deleted, either. i don't remember what it was about.
