My own credit score 537, one lender said to even consider they want 580, for a mortgage. Year ago September my husband and I paid off all bills, with a 0 balance, there were a couple that were charge offs. But she said that she'll send us the credit report, possibly we need to contact them and request an update. We have had late payments before paying off bills, we own a home in another state, I am trying to get a mortgage to purchase a home in this state, for 99 or less. My husband has made late payments on previous home and now is 2 months behind. We can bring it up to date, but realistically, how long do I have to wait, or how can I get my rate up to 580 + sooner? So I can apply for a home loan going VA in my own name. What if he took me off of the mortgage of the first home, would that help?
By following 7 Steps to a 720® Credit Score,Now i am able to get a better rate on car, home and credit card, which takes them from losing money each month, to saving money each month. It's the best investment a person can make."
quite a sales pitch there, "badcreditfixrepair" - could it be that you've got a financial interest in that program?
we modified our mortgage approx 20 mo.ago however ocwen will not report to the credit bureaus in a timely manner, and since modification never late, some times early.one of ocwens 15 promices is to report to the credit bureaus on a monthly basis,(see rule # 7),how much does this hurt our score,we are paying every thing we can and never see our credit report score change one iota :x
well if you're not seeing any changes in credit score, that's not such a bad thing. at least it's not declining. if ocwen can get its act together soon, you'd then have to think that you'll begin to see an increase. i don't know of any way in which you can increase their reliability, but i suppose you could try to make your issues known to those in higher places within that organization. that won't necessarily breed success, but it may at least give you some piece of mind.
oops...usage is SO important. of course, i meant "peace" of mind instead of "piece." after all, you are better off acquiring that peace than giving them a piece.
willy - it will hurt BUT if they show that you owe them money on the credit report it can hurt you
For example
If you owe them 10,000 plus the mortgage amount the tradeline says
Past Due 10,000
They're not supposed to do this...but it happens a lot
