My credit report mentions a judgment which has been paid off. I want to know how I can remove it from my credit report. Please help me I don't want to feel like I paid $4100 for nothing.
Hi Kowren,
Any negative item will remain in your credit report for 7 years though you have paid it off. You won't be able to remove the negative item from your credit report just because you paid it.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Kowren!
Welcome to forums!
It would have been better if you could have signed a pay for delete agreement with the creditor before paying off the debts. This would have helped you in removing the negative item from your credit report after you paid off the debts.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
