That may nto be true

It would depend on what kind of payment you are ale on. Depending on the bank, some fo them may not report a 30 day late payment

Most of them for sure report a 60 days late payment

check with the bank for which you were late by 30 days

sunny, i must disagree with you on this. i know of no lending institutions that would not report a 30-day late to credit bureaus. there used to be firms that reported nothing to credit agencies whatsoever, but the world has changed dramatically since those days of yore.

we are so credit-driven a society that it would be unthinkable for a lender to fail to report on a monthly basis.

I have some cases with me and i deal with such cases. I strongly know that 30 days late will definatly impact credit in negative direction.

it is upto your lender. but these days no body wants to take risk. They are considering 30 days default as a first signal of big problem. so reporting it to Credit rport.

i don't know how it will help to lender in terms of mortgage recovery. however it is the right parameter to find out high risk items.
