Can I remove the credit card account from credit report? I have 3 credit cards which have been settled back in 2009. BofA have updated the status of the accounts as 120 days past due date and Remarks include Settled - less than full balance. Do I still go about the dispute's the same way then if verified used the 623 method? I still have my settlement papers. Any help is appreciated.
Welcome silvi,
Any negative item will remain in your credit report for 7 years. Though you have paid off and settled the accounts, yet they will stay in your credit report for the next 7 years. You won't be able to dispute and remove it.

If there's something inaccurate about how the account is reported on your credit reports, you can always try disputing through the CRAs though.
