I have spent quite a lot of time cleaning up my credit. I have removed old addresses and bad info from my credit report. I even have copies of my credit report. But when I applied for mortgage, the lender took out copies of my credit report. This is so different from the reports that I have. What should I do now, According to their report, I don’t qualify for a mortgage.
You should contact the lender and check out as to where they have received the reports from. You can even show them the credit reports that you have and check out the lender's opinion. If he considers the reports that you have, then you may get qualified for a mortgage.

The lender will consider the report that he has received from the credit bureaus. He won't consider the report that you have. Thus, there are high chances that he may not give you the loan. In such a situation, you may have to wait for few more months and then apply for a loan again.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Credit reports provided by the credit bureaus such as Experian, Eqifax or TransUnion are considered by the lenders. You can check out with the lender regarding the type of credit report that they have considered. There may be mistake from the lender's part or you may also commit mistakes.
Only the reports provided by accredited credit bureaus should be taken into consideration by the lender. You need to check from where the lender got the report.
