Hi Gilly!

Welcome to forums!

As far as I know, hard pulls stay on your credit report for 2 years. But it should also be noted here that FICO includes them only for 1 year in your scoring.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

There are two types of credit report inquiries -hard inquiry and soft inquiry. Hard inquiries are related to credit-based application. Again, when you check your credit report, it falls under soft inquiry. Both these inquiries stay on your credot report for 2 years.

You have to know that there are two types of credit report inquiries. One is the hard inquiry and the other is the soft inquiry. Hard inquiries are related to credit-based applications. Banks and lenders usually are the ones who do the hard inquiries when they wish to check your credit standing based on your credit report when you apply for new credit or loans. On the other hand, when you check your credit report by yourself, it is only considered as a soft inquiry. No matter what type of inquiry was done with your credit report, they would stay on your credit report for two years.
