What consumer information to calculate credit score is used by the credit bureaus?
How many accounts you have open, what is the available credit versus your balance, and what is your payment history
How long you have been employed at your current job, income, and how long you have resided in your home.
Any defaults, judgments, liens, collections etc.
Also, if there have been recent inquries about your credit that will affect your score as well.
You can get a free opy from each of the three reporting agencies once a year. Please note the score they report to you may be different than the score they report to potential lenders.
