Which score

Posted on: 19th Aug, 2009 09:00 pm
I have my scores 648 with TransUnion and Equifax but Experian is showing 569. I am going to apply for a mortgage soon. Now, which score will be used by the lender
Hi ethign!

Welcome to forums!

In most of the cases, the lender would either consider your middle or your lower score. There are chances that some of the lender would consider your credit score of 569 and it would make you ineligible for mortgage.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi SMITH SUSSANE,
Why Lender will not consider hgher score?

well, i'm not sussane, but i'll chime in anyway. lenders are conservative. it's long been the habit to take the middle score of three, but when two are identical, it's not at all unusual for a lender to use the lowest of the three, taking a conservative tack.
