I am looking to buy a house. I have been renting for almost 2 years now and never been late on any of my payments. My credit score is 560 because I lost my business four years ago and fell back on cc payments and now I have 2 collections but everything has been paid off for two years now and my credit score does not go up. What can I do now?
Hi Vonsot,
You should contact your lenders/creditors and negotiate with them so that they remove the negative items from your credit report. You should also take out some secured credit cards and make payments toward them on time. This will also help you in improving your credit.
Thanks,
Jerry

I agree with the idea proposed by Jerry. You can take out few secured credit cards and make payments on a regular basis. This will soon be reflected in your score.
