Credit score drop

Posted on: 25th Dec, 2012 09:44 pm
Hi, I received an alert and checked that there is a drop of 7 points on my credit report. But there were no credit report changes. Last account to update was early December. I can't figure out why I would have a loss. No inquiries since November. Does any one know any good reasons as to why this would happen? Very frustrating since we are in the middle of the mortgage process.
Hi CCC,

It is very difficult to say as to why your credit scores were lowered by 7 points. A drop of 7 points may have a negative impact on your loan underwriting. You should get in touch with the credit bureaus and check out why your scores have dropped without any reason.

Take care.

Hi CCC!

Welcome to forums!

You should check your credit report thoroughly in order to find out whether or not there has been any changes in your credit report. But as Sara has said, you can get in touch with the credit bureaus and try to sort out the matter.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
