Has anyone heard of being flagged with a 039 ( serius delinquency) My credit has been flagged and I don't have any delinquent payments
thats odd, sounds like you need to do a little investigation into your credit score
Hi mckeestown,
You've mentioned that you are not delinquent on your payments but your credit report shows 039. I guess, your lenders/creditors have not reported your payments to the credit bureau correctly. That's the reason why you've marked with serious delinquency. I would suggest you to get hold of your credit report and check out which of the creditors have not reported your payments to the bureaus. You can contact them and request them to report your payments to bureaus correctly. This will help you in removing the 039 from your credit report.
Thanks

What makes this hard is my credit report does not show who is reporting this. everything is showing " pays as agreed ". Nothng shows as delinquent. It is madding as they all ask a name where this is coming from and don't know how to fix it without a name.
You indicate you do not have any delinquent payments.
Do you mean you NEVER had any delinquent payments or do you mean you simply have no delinquent payments at the moment?
The flag refers to evreything on the credit report, past and present.

educate me, someone, please. i have never heard of this "039" flag - where does it appear? after all these years, it's stumping me.
thanks.
thanks.
I would like to learn what is this 039 flag
lol gmak, I thought I was the only one who had no idea! I'm guessing it must be some sort of indicator of poor payment history?
Perhaps the mckeestown couls elaborate a little more - Where did you found out about this flag? Does it show up printed on your Cred. Report somewhere? Does it say how long you've been "flagged"? Any chance you can contact the credit reporting agency and ask for more info?

It is kind of funny that no one know what is 039 flag?
Well, I googled 039 serious delinquency and found it to be a credit card report code. It is also known as reason codes which is used by Equifax. The code refers to a violation or sorts. Based on this, the points are deducted from a person's overall score. These codes appear on credit reports pulled by a bank or broker. 039 is also a code which refers to Serious Delinquency.
okay, adonis, gotcha. there are factors which are printed out on a credit report to indicate how the scores were derived. those factors are numbered, and obviously 039 is the sequential number used to denote that serious delinquency had an impact on a score.
frankly, i don't give a whole lot of credence to these numbers - they are of no benefit to a consumer at all. now, the description of the factors is beneficial, but none of it is valuable unless it is interpreted for a consumer by someone who knows how credit works, how credit reporting works, and how to correct a poor report, etc.
i use google all the time for myriad things, but it never occurred to me to look up a code like that.
thanks, adonis.
