Credit score

Hi there... Will shopping for the homeowner’s policy affect my credit score?
Hi Banneyt,

As far as I know, shopping around for a homeowner's policy won't have a negative impact on your credit scores. The credit report as pulled by the insurance company will be considered as a soft pull.

Thanks,

Jerry

No, there shouldn't be any negative effect on your credit score when you're shopping around for the homeowner's policy.

When you are shopping for the homeowner's policy, it will not have a negative effect on your credit score. Since insurance companies are involved and not loans or mortgages, pulling your credit report will only be considered as a soft pull. Just conduct a credit check during this period to make sure that your credit score does not drop or decrease.
