I am in the process of credit repair. I want to take out some secured credit cards for the same. I would like to open 2-3 cards right now. I need feedback on that? I've read that the best option is to open 1 card, let it age 6 months then open another. However, I will be spending the next 12 months repairing and rebuilding my credit and not applying for loans. So taking out 2-3 secured credit cards will be a good option?
It is really nice that you are planning to build up your credit. I would suggest you not to do it hurriedly. First, start with just one secured credit card and make payments without failure. Once you have done it successfully, you can think of taking out another secured credit card.
Hi Guest,
Taking up a secured credit card is always a great plan to improve your credit situation. If you can afford to manage 2-3 cards and if the creditors are ready to offer you the cards, then you can definitely go ahead with the plan.
Take care.
