Hello, I have a divorce decree that lists my ex wife as responsible for a credit card. The credit card was in my name. I have contacted the credit bureaus and they refuse to take the charge off my credit. Otherwise my credit is nearly flawless. What is the statute of limitations for revolving credit in the state of Alaska, I did not see revolving credit in the sticky which I understand is different from a "written contract".
Hi Volvon,
As far as I know, the divorce decrees have no bearing on credit reporting. So, the status of the account may get reported on your credit report. The SOL for revolving credit in Alaska is 3 years.

You need to make sure she makes all the payments on time, because if she doesn't, your credit will be negatively impacted.
Debt has a sort of expiration date that keeps the debt collectors to pursue debt indefinitely. This is known as statute of limtation (SOL). The SOL in Alaska is 3 years.
