my husband and i are currently paying 2 mortgages..one for the house we live in, and the other for the house we used to live in..we have been trying to rent it for 8 months..no luck,(our tenant left us with 2 weeks notice) we did recently list it with a realtor(oct. 2010) in hopes of selling it..but no luck as of yet. We have discussed just letting the payments go and letting the bank take it, but also have discussed the deed in lieu...what do we have for options?
Thank you

hi davislenmar!
welcome to forums!
if you're unable to pay off the mortgage, then you will be able to apply for a deed in lieu of foreclosure with your lender. however, unless you're delinquent on your mortgage payments, the lender will not accept your request for a deed in lieu of foreclosure.
feel free to ask if you've further queries.
