Hello,
I am looking for a real estate lawyer to represent me in "a deed in lieu".
What is the best approach to start searching for this attorney?
Can anyone offer suggestions on the details (surrounding the process and attorney) I should be aware during the entire "deed transfer" process?
Specifically, I am looking for an attorney for a Omaha, NE property.
Thanks,
Dave

Start by asking everyone you know who has purchased a home where you live.
You could do a google search but I recommend reaching out to your network of friends and family first because on the internet you just never know what you are getting.
Then why not try getting out the phone book and start calling. If you find one you can understand and that talks to you give them a try.
Best of luck

Hello,
I think it is wise to have an attorney for you.
Be careful to see that whatever the lender agrees to do, should be kept as a document in writing.
There are a few steps to follow in deed in lieu, you may have a look at them here http://www.mortgagefit.com/know-how/about4510.html#deedinlieuprocess
