My mom was coerced into signing a life estate deed over to my sister. the original deed contained the wrong property description. my sister and her lawyer attached my mother's original signature to a new document. my mom said she did not to want to give her home away to my sister. Does the "intent" to sign over her property give my sister the right to the property?
Hi timspears.
Welcome to the forum. If your mother has signed the deed against her will then, the deed will not be considered as a valid deed but it will have to be proved in the court.
BTW if your mother uses a Life Estate Deed, then she will remain the owner of the property as long as she lives. Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
Best of luck,
Larry

my grandmother made a will for me but her sister has a life deeed with her name on it she stole the deeed
Hi jin,
If you want to inherit the property, then after your grandmother's death, the will needs to be probated. As your grandmother's sister is not giving you the will, you need to consult an attorney. The attorney will be the best person to to tell you what steps you need to take.
Thanks
