dear sir.i was wondering how a quit claim deed works.we have been divorced for a year.she has mental prombums she been in and out of the hosp. month and a half .she has made threats against me and my son.she has said she going to kill us . she even said she going to kill her self.we need to get her off the the house and car title.and what i was wondering if this would work quit claims deed. so if you could give me some info. on how to do it .thank you mike bachesta

If she can quitclaim the property then you can remove her from the deed. But from your post it doesn't seem that she is going to quitclaim the property to you. So I feel you should better contact an attorney ASAP.

You should be able to do it as part of your divorce judgment. Consult with your divorce attorney, or contact a family law attorney for consultation.
Otherwise, it sounds as if you must go to court to get a "conservator" appointed to act as your ex-wife's guardian. Talk to her family first.
