Will any one please tell me whether I can close on a home without having to be at the closing table?
Hi Guest,
Welcome to the MortgageFit forum.
Lenders are willing to accommodate "mail away" closing. But for that you have to appoint someone on your behalf through Power of attorney. Actually the appointed person will sign on your behalf. In addition to this every state has its own requirements.
Please contact your closing agent to be acquainted with the requirements of your state. This process will require some additional coordination time but it will ensure overnight delivery of all your documents.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Regards
Jessica
