My grandmother owns property she wants to give to me before she dies.She is in a nursing home and has nothing else that would require a will.Can a quick claim deed work for her to sign the property over to me before she dies.She has a son, but does not want him to have the property.

Check with the clerk of courts in the location the the divorce was settled. Or check online with the county. A lot of them have public records filed that you can retrive. A divorce decree is public record so you might be able to find it there. You also have another option of contacting your divorce attorney as they could provide you with a copy of the divorce decree that states the terms of the settlement.
