Can I get protection from the creditors after filing Chapter 7 or can they still make collections?
No they can't. Once they are made aware that you have already filed a Chapter7 bankruptcy, they must stop all efforts from collection from you.
after filing chapter 7 bankruptcy, the creditors can not go after you for collections. generally, when you file bankruptcy, the court gives a notice to your creditors which may take sometime.
if you feel you require the notice to reach soon, then you may use your own representative to inform them. after they are informed, they have to stop any efforts for collection from you.
if they still force you, they have face court sanctions and attorney fees for that.
you may refer the bankruptcy section for more details.

Should my daughter ,who has a court approved Chapter 7 subsequently acquire property due to inheritance or via parent contribution to provide a roof over her head, be subject to collectors for previous outstanding obligatgions.
Hi joseph,
If your daughter is in Chapter 7, then it is better to not transfer any property in her name now. If she inherits any property, then the bankruptcy trustee can sell it off in order to pay off her creditors.
