Do a need to be a Real state broker to become a mortgage broker?
Hi Daniela
Welcome to MortgageFit forum.
In most states a mortgage broker cannot perform his activities with a real estate broker's license; he requires a separate license to carry out his activities. But there are also states that don't require a real estate broker to obtain another license for working as a mortgage broker. In such states a real estate broker can negotiate sale and purchase of real estate as well as primary mortgages or subordinate mortgages.
The laws regarding a mortgage broker license vary from one state to another. So if you let us know the state where you wish to work as a mortgage broker, then we can easily provide the exact information regarding the broker license in that state.
Hope this information will fulfill your requirement.
