Can ex wife get new homebuyers tax credit?

Husband owned house before marriage. After marriage wife signed a mortgage on husbands house to release her dower interest. Parties divorce and ex-wife after releasing all claims to any of ex husbands property purchases a new home(had not owned ahome for 5yrs) Can she get new home buyers tax credit?

A person will be considered a first time homeowner if he or she had not owned a property for the past 3 years and will be eligible for the first time homebuyers tax credit. Existing homeowners can also apply for the tax credit if they have been occupying the property for the last five of the eight years.
