Hey all,
I am looking for a ballpark figure here.
FICO scores for the wife and I are Mid 600's (631,642,622) Hers are very similar if not a little better.
I am a first time home buyer and a combat veteran, so I'll be utilizing a VA loan.
Before searching for a real estate agent and mortgage broker, I'm asking your professional opinion on what kind of rates I'm Looking at here, again a ballpark is fine.
Oh and our DITI is well within the norm (we make 120k gross combined).
From my research, maybe 6-8%?
Thanks in advance
John

Depending on loan amount anywhere from 4.25% to 4.5% for 30 year fixed.
Netherton,
Thanks for your reply, that rate is way lower then what I have been figuring into our calculations. I hope our loan officer will be as generous.

Anyone else have another opinion, before I walk into the door to loan shop?
Rates for that scenario on a 30yr Fixed mortgage will be in the 4's. Good luck with your search!
Sweet, we'll be making the plunge this coming week and I will report my findings back here.
Good Luck! If you run into any issues, there are loan officers here that will be more than happy to assist you!
