If I was quit claimed to a deed as right of survivorship and have never before purchased a home am I eligable for any tax credit?
If you never purchased any asset. Then you will be eligible for first time home buyers tax credit.

i am of the opinion that being added as an owner of a home by way of a quit claim deed is not the same as purchasing a home. consequently, in my book, you are not a first-time homebuyer under the definitions i've read and would not be eligible for a tax credit.

if you want a real answer, check irs.gov and the qanda section; or consult with a tax advisor.
