Is it true that this will end November 30 of this year?
Hi, Yes it will actually end Dec 1 of this year. You must have purchased a house before the 1st of December to get the tax credit.
julia, there has been much speculation about the possibility of this tax credit being extended beyond december 1. we've already seen proposals given a dry run in washington.
truly, i think it's safe to say that anything can happen. we could see the program go away quietly, or we could see it expanded to include borrowers who are not first-time buyers included, and we could certainly see a change in the amount, if it moves forward.
