Grantor and Grantee on a Quick Claim Deed

Posted on: 17th Oct, 2010 12:03 am
My mother is the Grantor and I am the Grantee on a Quik Claim Deed where she reserves a life estate. We lived in the home together here in Florida, my mother moved out on her own free will. Can my mother the Grantor evict me the Grantee from my home? Also by her moving out does that void her rights to the property?
Welcome kendrickvanessa,

You are the grantee to the property. Thus, you own the property. In such a situation, your mother won't be able to remove you from the property.
