my fiancee owns a home valued at $300,000.00 and his mortgage owing was $165,000.00, i gave him $130,000.00 to pay off against the mortgage he still has a $35,000.00 mortgage in his name. in turn he signed a quit claim deed in the consideration of $10.00 with both of us being the grantor.
i still have to take the quit claim deed to be recorded and want to know what the costs will be.
thanking you,
rina

Hi Rina,
Welcome to the forum.
Have notarized the deed yet? If not then you need to do it ASAP. Recording fees will not be much. It will be I think around $50. So record the deed ASAP to make it valid.
Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
Best of luck,
Larry

Rina,
The costs of recording would vary from state to state or even from one county to another. You need to check this out from the County Recorder's office.
