cannot afford mortgage anymore..how long can i stay in my florida hone until evicted?
Hi Guest!

Welcome to forums!

If you do not pay your mortgage dues for 2-3 months, the lender will initiate foreclosure action. After the foreclosure sale is over, you would receive an eviction notice from the lender. The time period to leave the property will be mentioned in that notice. Normally, the lenders give 3 days time to leave the property.

As you're unable to pay off the mortgage dues, it's better to apply for a deed in lieu of foreclosure. This will not only help you in getting rid of the property, but you won't be liable for paying off the balance dues to the lender as well.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
