What is correct procedure for timeshare transfer?

Posted on: 11th Mar, 2010 09:21 am
After our mother passed away, we found she had named our uncle as beneficiary of her timeshare. As he is now in his 80's he would like to transfer it to us 3 children. Can
we do this with a quit claim form? We are in Florida and
would like to take care of this as simply as possible, but
want to take the appropriate steps. Please advise
Hi rtu,

As your uncle is the owner of the property now, he will have to sign a quit claim deed in your favor and transfer the property to you. Once he signs the property deed, you should make sure to record it at the county recorder's office. This will make the transfer valid.

Thanks
