While my loan was supposedly being reviewed for modification, the bank foreclosed and bought the property for themselves at a non-judicial auction.
I did not receive any warning of such action and
was told several times on the phone that my house was not in imminent jeapordy, even up to the day before the sale. DO I HAVE A CASE?

Hi omegaman,
It is mandatory for the lender to send you a pre-foreclosure notice before he sells off the property at an auction. I would suggest you to contact an attorney and take his opinion in this regard in order to file a complaint against the lender.
Thanks
