i have tried a repayment plan as well as a loan modification. My lender has never contacted me back . i have callled many many times asking status. I've been told it takes up to 2 weeks to get approved it has been over 5 mos now and the last time i called I asked to speak to a supervisor at that time i was told a modification was not approved. i have submitted my fiancials to them since trying to resolve my problem but it doesnt seem as if my lenders are willing to work with me.
Hi claudiaygonzalez,
Welcome to the forums.
I'll suggest that you try to file Chapter 13 instead of Chapter 7 and of course prior to foreclosure. This is because depending upon the state laws you may lose your home if it's chapter 7 that you're filing. But you'll have to find it as to whether you are eligible to file for chapter 13 or 7 . Talk to a bankruptcy attorney asap.
Just in case you'd like to check out how chapter 13 can be helpful in avoiding foreclosure , please refer to the information on this topic.
By the way, which is your state of residence?

Don't you have any insurance coverage or PMI with which you can pay back the loan? if it's not available then you should talk to a bankruptcy attorney asap and see if you qualify to file chapter 13.
Know about How Chapter 13 works before you approach the attorney.
