I received a Tax Foreclosure notice from a lawyer--what do I do

I fell behid on my taxes and never looked back..Now after 2 years tax foreclosure papers were left on my doorstep...Can I still save my house after 2 years.... or just give up ??

There is no mortgage on the home--just owed taxes.

You can verify if your state allows for hardship exemption or tax deferral program. In such a case you may need to prove that you've been in some kind of financial hardship due to which you couldn't pay the taxes. You need to contact your local tax collector's office in order to find the details about the hardship exemption.
