Is it better to cooperate with our mortgage co. in facing a foreclosure action or just abandon the home?

We are unable to workout a suitable structure for continuing in our mortgage, due to a job loss and resulting decrease in income. We need to let the mortgage company recoup the property and want to protect as best we can our equity in the home. Whether we should force the foreclosure by moving out and stopping all payments or cooperation with the bank in limited payments while they work to sell the property is the dilemma we face.

Thanks
Regardless, when the mortgage lender is not made legally obligated to give something else, unless otherwise stated in the loan documents in advance. You must take a different approach. Call and get a leader who has the ability to make licensing decisions, when possible.
