Buy-out Co-owner Real Estate

Posted on: 30th Jul, 2008 08:03 pm
I currently co-own a property with another person, and the house has been on the market for the past 2 years now. Also, I stopped making mortgage payment for 5 months now,a dn the other person has been paying the full mortgage since March 2008 because the other person sabotaged several offers that were presented on the house since it's been on the market. What are my options? and how should I proceed?

Please advice.

Thank you.
Hi avignon.

Welcome to the forum.

Do you want to sell the property and get your share of the property? How much equity do you have? If you have enough equity to claim then you can file Partition Lawsuit and claim your share of equity. I think you are also on the mortgage document ... right?

Best of luck,
Larry
